I am primarily a watercolor and mixed media (collage) artist. My work looks at everyday life. Particularly I am interested in moments, subjects that are taken for granted and making work that gives the viewer a fresh perspective as if seeing for the first time. Using a palette of vibrant colour rendered in loose brush strokes that are then honed it by detailing, I enjoy the fluidity of watercolour which is an apt medium to use on a tropical Caribbean island such as Trinidad and Tobago where I live and work as an artist and an educator.
