Basilica of the Sacred Heart, University of Notre Dame Print

This painting was based on photo taken by the artist during an orientation tour on his first day in the Notre Dame MBA program in August 2018 following his retirement from the U.S. Navy. The artist started work on this piece in September 2018 and did not finished until late October 2019 (~950 hours of work). Painted entirely in public spaces throughout the South Bend area (including on campus), as well as all over Washington, DC. The artist walked approximately 300 miles total carrying the piece all over the DC area during his summer internship. One piece of artistic license taken was to change the numbers on Moses' stone tablets from Roman numerals (which do not make sense) to more feasible Egyptian numerals from circa. 1500 BC.
