ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This is a fantasy vision for an aquatic world and its creatures. These octopus trees are moving slowly through the crystal clear water and their golden leaves shine in the light of the rising sun. What we see bellow the surface comes as a surprise - instead of roots the trees have tentacles and they are chasing a jellyfish. Sometimes two parts of the same thing look like they exist in two different worlds.

I was born on 21st of July 1986 in Burgas, Bulgaria. I grew up in a small town on The Black Sea. Living in a house which was just a few steps away from a small beach I grew a true love for the water and all the aquatic creatures. I have always felt inspired to create. My paintings represent my personal impressions, feelings and understanding of the world around me reflected on my inside deep, spiritual imaginary world. Each painting carries messages on many levels through the feelings one may go through their life experiences. My inspiration is triggered by my feelings, emotional states and my favorite things in life. Observing my inner world, I choose a direction spontaneously expressing my feelings as I go on the canvas with powerful colors, palette knives, and brushes. My imagination combines the feelings and shapes into one, creating more detailed and defined shapes and sceneries of a new fantasy world. I use oil paints, canvases, canvas panels, boards, brushes and palette knives to create my art. The most common techniques that help me express myself are: Alla prima,Impasto, Glaze, Palette Knife, Paintbrush, Layer on Layer.
