About The Artwork

Frida Kahlo living between the world of the living and the dead. This was a recurrent theme in her paintings. I decided to make it a bit more festive as a way to celebrate her legacy. She is an inspiration of mine as a mexican female painter. * This painting has an Augmented Reality component. Download YUNUENE ART app to enjoy it. * Featured in Yunuene's ART PARTY book. * Exhibited in Germany, Canada and Mexico

YUNUENE (b. 1975, Mexico City) earned a Graphics Design degree from the Universidad Intercontinental. Yunuen’s artistic style encompasses a multitude of personal, artistic, and cultural references that reflect the plurality of her personal life and contemporary social issues. She often plays with viewers’ perceptions of the body, gender and the metaphysical. Yunuen lives and works in Mexico City. Esparzas’s contemporary art has been exhibited at emblematic museums including the Museo Soumaya, Museo Nacional de Arte MUNAL, Centro Nacional de las Artes and Mexico City’s Metro System.
