ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Bewilderment:- I was motivated to do this painting to describe femininity and some of the feelings resulting from pregnancy and giving birth during lockdown. I aim to portray the beauty and venerability of motherhood. I used loose gestural brushstrokes and subtle watercolour washes in greys and pinks to describe the ethereal quality of the sitter.
