ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The most important thing in art for me is freedom. When I think about expressing what art is for me, the term "freedom" always appears. When creating the Beach series, the paintings were "windows to freedom", portals to a world bordering on reality and dreams, a landscape filled with peace and silence juxtaposed with the dynamics and expression.

Contemporary artist. Born in 1985. Lives and works in Warsaw, Poland. My art is the combination of both figurative and abstract elements. Painting has evolved from realism, to surrealism, and abstract. I am motivated by the relationship of colors and space, and our emotional reaction to the way they intersect. The themes I explore include the interplay of light and shadow, duality of extremes, and their symbolism in our lives. I usually paint women and this is often the common denominator of my works. I also turn to abstract art that gives great freedom. But I always start working on the painting from reality, to later transform it. Every painting, especially abstraction in the art of painting, is a continuous journey that you never know how will end The BEACH cycle is a synthesis and minimalism of form and color. Images are cleared of unnecessary elements. Through synthesis, I strive to capture the essence, abstract, isolate what is most important, convey the mood, emotions and relationships. Color reduction causes the detachment of the image from reality, so that the viewer's eyes drift and focus on shapes, forms, and the color does not distract, does not introduce conflict, only subtly creates the mood and stimulates emotions. It is a journey into another dimension, distant and a bit unreal. The reduced colors that I used are an allegory of silence, peace and boundless space. I started by observing nature and then changed and transformed, simplified and cleansed it.
