Tanzilya is a painter and printmaker from Uzbekistan known for her vibrant works in acrylic, watercolor, gouache, and mixed media graphics. Inspired by the monumental mosaics of Tashkent, the avant-garde art movement, and the Nukus State Museum of Art collections, Tanzilya crafts intricate compositions. Her work reflects traditional patterns of Adras and Atlas fabrics, Suzani embroideries, and ceramics, embodying the cultural richness of her homeland. Tanzilya believes in the power of art to convey her country's beauty and vibrancy. She shares Uzbekistan's landscapes, national fabrics, and mosaics through her art, aiming to evoke appreciation and pride for her heritage. She exhibited at the Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2005-2006. In 2023, she enhanced her understanding of contemporary art by completing courses at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), including "Modern Art and Ideas" and "Postwar Abstract Painting." Currently, Tanzilya explores cultural identity and artistic heritage, focusing on traditional motifs and modern expressions. Her work is celebrated for its vivid portrayal of Uzbekistan's legacy, inspiring and provoking thought through dynamic paintings.
