Anja Sieber
Germany
Anja Sieber was born in Offenbach/Main in 1964. She studied French and Portuguese Literature as well as media science at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. During a study visit in Lisbon from 1985 to 1986 she discovered painting and created her first art installations. In 1992 she co-founded the publishing company AVINUS. 1993–1998 she lived and worked for five years as a film critic in Paris. 2008–2013 Sieber studied painting at the Akademie für Malerei Berlin. Final degree: Master Student of Ute Wöllmann. 2012–2014 she was a member of the artist-run Galerie ROOT am Savignyplatz, Berlin. After a quite long period in Berlin, she lives and works since 2015 in Hamburg and soon also in Berlin again. Currently represented by the independent art room BUNKERHILLGalerie, Hamburg. She was represented by various galleries at international art fairs like the Miami River Art, Art Beijing, art KARLSRUHE, Kunst Zürich, PREVIEW BERLIN.
