My works are often inspired by the forms of nature and life. I usually mix the colors myself. The oil paint forms a bond with the wooden base, many layers of paint combine with each other and through removal processes or transparent colors, the view of what lies beneath is revealed. I like to work with metal leaf in my paintings. Copper leaf, silver leaf and moon gold are often elements in my paintings. The metal reflects the light back into the room, the works reflect the movement in the room and live with it. My painting surfaces are made of different woods such as birch, poplar and oak.
