"Blue Melody" Print

From the "Melody Series" Each stroke becomes part of a composition that is inspired by music which is playing while I paint. I cannot make a direct absolute interpretation of notes however my strokes are guided by my emotional response to the music. Perhaps at times the brush becomes as if it were a baton but generally the response is more subtle than that. As notes of color develop they begin to suggest other contrasting or harmonizing colors which make their way across the space sometimes in small changes and nuances ,at other times shapes and colors are dissonant.The process is very much in the moment.Other works the series are entitled "Crescendo" , "Floating", "Warm Melody" etc. The works are on canvas using the best quality oils and are framed in handsome modern black frames with gold facing edge.
