ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I created this beautiful Macaw painting using oil pastels/pencils, I chose oil pastels because they are bright and vibrant and really stand off of the black paper/card. I used the black of the paper as the underlying shadows and base layer, giving depth to the feathers. I layered the feathers to give the Macaw texture and added a shine to the beak to contour it. I blended the eye and added light to give it shape. Macaws are beautiful, brightly coloured birds with huge personalities, that always look happy, I wanted to convey this within the painting. This painting comes unframed, but it looks fabulous in a black frame, please just ask for more photos. Size H12" x W16" x D = 160gsm paper/card
