About The Artwork

"Blue Sky. Diptych I" is an artwork created in 2019 using oil on canvas. Measuring 30 x 40 cm (11.8" x 15.8"), this piece is part of a series that can be collected and displayed alongside two other artwork titled "Clouds on the Island. Diptych I." Inspired by a remarkable journey to the breathtaking Canary island of La Gomera in Spain, this abstract diptych showcases my interpretation of island sky, clouds and mountains. The painting combines elements of Abstract Expressionism, Fine Art, Minimalism, Modernism, and Expressionism to convey a sense of emotional depth and artistic exploration. I tried to employ oil as the medium, creating a rich and textured surface that enhances the visual experience. Through bold brushstrokes and subtle nuances of color, the artwork evokes a serene and contemplative atmosphere, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the dynamique beauty of the depicted sky. Oil painting on Canvas One of a kind artwork Size: 30 x 40 x 3cm / 30 x 40cm (actual image size) Ready to hang Signed certificate of authenticity Style: Expressive and gestural Subject: Landscapes, sea and sky

Asta Kulikauskaitė Krivickienė is a Lithuanian painter born in1973 in Kaunas. She graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2000 and holds a master's degree in fine arts, painting speciality. Currently residing in Differdange, Luxembourg, Asta gained recognition for her exploration of the female body in Lithuania during the period following its independence. Her recent work draws inspiration from nature, reflecting her her own identity. Asta's abstract paintings often feature motifs of mountains, flora, and the ocean, created through experimental techniques with acrylic and oil. The purity of painting and the interplay of colors are crucial to her. She also engages in traditional graphics, producing series of black and white drawings in ink and charcoal.
