Sara Amiri is a contemporary visual artist whose practice explores human presence, identity, memory, and the emotional traces embedded within the body and material. With more than two decades of artistic experience, she has developed a distinctive visual language that moves between abstraction and figuration, often dissolving facial features in favor of texture, gesture, and layered surfaces.
Over the years, her work has evolved through extensive experimentation with paint, mixed media, and material-based processes, resulting in highly textured compositions that investigate the relationship between presence and absence.
Amiri’s artworks have been exhibited in numerous galleries and exhibitions across Iran, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and other European countries. In 2024, she was awarded Second Place at the Global Art Festival in Vancouver, Canada, in recognition of her artistic achievements and contribution to contemporary visual art.
Alongside her artistic practice, she has also shared her knowledge through teaching and mentoring emerging artists.
For Amiri, art is not a representation of reality, but a confrontation with it. Each work becomes a space where memory, vulnerability, resilience, and human experience intersec.
