I paint Brazilian myth as a living present—mischief, protection, desire, fear. I’m Leo DuLac, a Rio de Janeiro–based multidisciplinary artist working primarily with oil painting and sculpture. My studio practice draws from Brazilian folklore and its restless archetypes—Saci, Curupira, Cuca, Boitatá—not as nostalgia, but as living forces that still shape how we dream, joke, and survive. Visually, I combine expressive gesture with clear composition: bold color, tactile paint, and figurative scenes that feel like fragments of a larger story. I’m interested in the instant when a character slips between worlds—half legend, half everyday—where humor can carry a shadow, and beauty can arrive with a warning. Each piece is made to work as image and as portal: a contemporary myth you can live with. Original works are one of a kind and ship from Brazil
