Golden Bommie Painting

I paint to render the poesy and awe of our underwater world. Inspired by snorkelling in coral reefs I hope to immerse you into the unseen, untold, unheard life of our world down below. This is my way to share another world on our Blue Planet, our so called silent world. They are memories of strokes of filtered light, patterns, details, rhythms and energies that create this different world. I combine acrylics and inks and treat my canvasses as unique topographies of space using meticulous pointillism and brush line markings. Each canvas surface acquires sonority and develops a poesy from which a mental state is formed. This latest series is inspired by the Australian Great Barrier Reef coral life. I am painting the process of life creation, building blocks and life accretion of our endangered reefs. Painting the organic patterns repetition, recorded as the multiplication of thousands of mark makings, is like listening to music or poetry. You cannot make total sense unless you lose yourself in the artwork and mentally dance between the whole and the details. My paintings are ready to hang and the canvas sides are painted finished. So it’s not necessary to frame them. If indicated, some of my works are already boxed framed in wood. A signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
