About The Artwork
My latest completed work... Expressionism Series: a different view. 61 cm by 61 cm (24x24) - oil on canvas “Bottles, Cream Pitcher and Fruit” I am especially proud of this original work, done with the idea that it is easier to show an object's true nature if you show it from different angles. My goal was to paint a work that is completely original, as well as interesting, combining my love of classical technique with modern concept, using a three dimensional technique to paint, with my expressionist ideas as both the motivation and the message. As always, created using the highest quality materials, black gallery wrapped edges (color may be changed upon order, from black to matching cream, white, matching brown or black), wired and ready to hang. My first love is classical work but I am drawn to the spontaneous, expressive nature of abstract and impressionistic work and find that my old masters techniques work well in those genres. I find inspiration everywhere I look, what a miraculous world!
