Waves roar and clouds run fast now and then, however, it becomes silent when each of these comes close to each other. The silence makes me see myself dispassionately, as if it soaks up all of the worries and uneasiness. From this thought, I create my art works to illustrate the boundary line between each of us and the outside world. The line might exist in order to identify the interrelation of our consciousness and unconsciousness. I expect the viewer to define himself or herself by looking into unconsciousness through my painting. As a result, a silent interaction could occur between the viewer and the painting. "Boundary Line" is a painting diptych, each canvas measuring 55x145cm. /////////////// Boundary Line 2012 Acrylic on panel 55x145cm diptych

Miki Wanibuchi is a fine artist who pursues the boundary. Her work explores the origin of a painting, using a form of landscape painting as a starting point. She chooses only one action of it: reproducing the colours in landscape. She believes, as a result, it would reveal the (un-)necessity of a painting viewed by the people living in today's society.
