This painting and the on going series is inspired by Goya´s Los Caprichos etchings. I love his comment on the foolishness of Spanish society. I especially enjoy his satiric use of the donkey. For me this watercolour fits to how sometimes there are things that take a lot to ever get a change.

instagram: #goodbrush1 Born in Johannesburg South Africa, Marc later moved to Canada. As a young boy he was drawing and painting with watercolour and recording what he saw on paper. Later, studies in Architecture took him to London and then to Rome, where he settled for a number of years before moving to Milan, and finally on to Berlin where he now lives and paints. Painting is his vocation, it has accompanied him everywhere. He is autodidact. He first paints sometimes hundreds of small individual abstract watercolours on 300 gram paper. Then he cuts and fold them, connecting each piece within a structure to compose a larger work. These watercolours border on sculptural - he calls them watercolour mosaics.
