A kind old lady having breakfast at a Luby´s restaurant in a very pensive state. As as I was looking at her I was moved because she was praying for her meal. the scene I was contemplating was a blend of nostalgia and mystery at the same time.

I live and work in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, México. Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated with the art of painting. When I began my studies as a Graphic Designer I spent summers studying painting and drawing in the city of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. I worked for 15 years at NEORIS, an important consulting company, as Graphic Designer, where I did different projects in design, animation, web e-learning, etc. During that time I worked as an art teacher for children at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo MARCO during the weekends. This permitted me to take different workshops with well known teachers and painters so that I could continue my studies in painting. At this present time I´m fully dedicated to painting. The central part of my work is figurative and photorealistic. I like to examine the relationship between space, time, nostalgia and mystery. My finishing strokes are characterized by translucent layers of paint intensifying the contrast between light and dark. I like to capture the beauty of each day.
