From the series 'Natura artis magistra' ('master of art is nature'; Latin). Contemporary environmental art. The images in the series are based on or inspired by more or less modified patterns of natural beings - animals and plants. The hidden beauty of nature often appears on creatures we wouldn’t even expect and pay no attention to them. Although they are not exotic creatures, they live here with us. In their pattern created by nature, we can discover most of our art style trends: geometric folk art patterns, baroque ornamentation, abstract expressionism, minimalism, and much more. Bufotes viridis (green toad) is a common toad species. The green toad skin pattern is real "frog skin", camouflage, which evokes the abstract expressionist style. This digital picture, together with my other digital works, belongs to a genre that could be called 'file art', which means it is not a copy. There is no original: the prints are not reproductions, each one is equally original. New art requires a new approach from artists and collectors alike.
