Born in Fort Worth Texas, currently live in Montana. Started painting in 1988. Influenced by Abstract Expressionists. An involvement with painting is typically described as a means of self expression. With Abstract Expressionism that task becomes making yourself evident through an unconventional visual dialogue. A dialogue of forms, textures, and movement. I usually work on a single painting for weeks, or sometimes months. I believe when you focus, with no distractions, so much thought and energy into a single image, something transfers. Some part of you manifests itself in to the finished painting. I know that sounds pretentious, but a good painting is like a good book, or great music. It connects on a very personal level. I have always used latex house paint for economic reasons. I go through large quantities of paint, and financially it just makes more sense.
