"Burnt by the Sun" presents a harmonious synthesis of light, warmth, and repose. This oil on canvas is a vivid portrayal of summer leisure, capturing a figure in repose against the backdrop of a sun-soaked beach. The artist deftly manipulates the palette to depict the starkness of the sun's rays juxtaposed with the delicate play of light on water. Through a mastery of color and form, the artist conveys the enveloping experience of a lazy day by the sea, complete with the sounds of water and a sense of absolute relaxation. This artwork is more than just a scene; it's a sensory journey that combats anxiety and ushers in a state of peace. It reflects the artist's deep appreciation for the simple pleasures of beachside life, translated onto canvas with care and precision. For those yearning to capture the essence of a sun-drenched escape, "Burnt by the Sun" offers an enduring vision of the artist's tranquil experiences by the waterfront.

What is the most important thing in life? It's not the external surroundings but our inner world. Painting serves as the key that unlocks this realm. By following this path, one learns not just to look, but to truly SEE. Through my art, I delve into profound content. Painting becomes a medium of communication, a canvas for thoughts. The questions are always deeper than the answers, and the answers are discoveries we make within ourselves. My paintings serve as guides, leading you along the pathways of your own thoughts. I aim to offer you the joy of connecting with your inner world, the luxury of harmony and solitude in communication with yourself. I was born in 1963 in Kyiv, Ukraine, and in 1987, I graduated from the painting faculty of the Kyiv Art Academy, under the guidance of Professor A.M. Lopukhov. Since 1990, I have been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. As a professional artist with over 30 years of experience, my artistic journey can be divided into two main periods. The first period, which spanned over 20 years after my graduation, can be described as "Metarealism." The second period, which I refer to as my "return to realism," began around 2010, you may explore my artworks from both periods showcased here. If you would like to delve deeper into my portfolio, view additional paintings beyond those displayed on this website, or if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me directly via email at a.levich@protonmail.com. You are also warmly welcome to visit my studio in Kyiv. Thank you sincerely for your interest.
