La Catrina Mexican tradition. In ancient times poor people used to powder their faces with chickpea powder as a form of protest against the upper government class. It was later popularized by a newspaper cartoonist named Jose Guadalupe Posada hence the name La Catrina was later associated with the day of the dead but in reality they are two different things. This work of art was achive on canvas and acrylic plaster, to give a rich look of relieve very atractive to human eye and and muti layers strokes of acrylics untill the work was done.
