ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Painted while living in the Puerto Morelos, Mexico. This piece embodies the many days spent walking the beach - observing the infinite variation of light and color. For me it evokes the healing experience of being so close to the gentle Caribbean Sea. Using Acrylic allowed me to explore the depth and intensity of the saturated colors of sea and sky. This image is part of a series of about 25 pieces created over several months. All of the paintings were prayed and chanted over as part of our daily meditation practice.

Harnam, (aka Tony Zatzick,MFA) is a multi-media visual, recording, and performance artist. There is a strong spiritual component to his work which often takes the form of vivid spontaneous watercolors as well as layered sacred chant recordings. His live events incorporate yogic technology to give participants an experience of their own spiritual reality using art and music. His work has been selected for exhibition by many well-known artists and critics and his work has been included in exhibition alongside Philp Pearlstein, Janet Fish and Jamie Wyeth. He received a BA in Painting from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1989, and an MFA from Western Connecticut State University, where he was awarded the Master of Fine Art award in 2004. He is an art materials expert and has been demonstrating the Liquitex and Winsor & Newton brands for over 14 years as part of the The Fine Art Collective.
