The painting shows the disturbing night sky over Ukraine with the bright light of the moon, as a general image of the anxiety and insecurity of many Ukrainians during the war. But at the same time, bright flashes of light sometimes appear, as in the foreground of this work, which give hope and faith that everything will be fine, the war will end, peace and harmony will come. Smoke and light in the window of the house in the depth of the composition of the plot also add some homely warmth. This symbolizes that our future depends first on God, and then on us, people, on the extent to which we can show the best features of our souls: love, kindness, mutual support, etc. The painting is made in an expressive style of thick application of oil paints, it is my personal way of dealing with stress, when I paint in this way it becomes easier for me. At some stages of the work, I applied paint exclusively with my fingers, performing specific movements hitting the paint clots on the painting from a certain distance. I invented my own unique way of applying paints inspired by Jackson Pollock's method of abstract expressionism, which is called "action painting". Also, to a certain extent, there is something in common with pointillism, because the work consists of many small colorful dots that can be seen from a close distance.
