Welcome to the world of Broken Elms. You are currently on the edge of Madam Bledsoe’s Koi Pond, and this small frog is one of the many inhabitants here. This piece in particular sets a mood that communicates both the beauty and the danger of her world. Her story is inspired by my experiences in life where challenges abound and the Smokey Mountains where I live. _Careful Steps_, like most of my fiber art, is made mostly with wool felted together with felting needles. The process involves blending different colored wools and fibers together to achieve shading, build dimensional shapes and create texture. If you’d like to see some video of how this is done, check out my instagram or my website You can also find more of Madam Bledsoe’s story at my website and on my instagram In my work, I focus in on the small moments happening all around us, the lost, the overlooked, the forgotten, these are fascinating and moving struggles. Together woven into a larger story they’ll encourage you to wonder more about the many hidden places in our world and even each other’s hearts. _Careful Steps_ comes It’s fully framed and ready to hang on your wall. ****Color Notes**** The frog is overall vibrant orange, displays vary.
