Artwork from "Paintings of Memories" series. I once lived in Castiglion Fiorentino. I met many wonderful people and made many beautiful memories there. But, years later, when it was time for me to paint my experience of this little Italian citadel-town, all I wanted to express was the hidden ends of the winding streets which silently snaked and coiled and split, and the windows which often came to life only after-dark, glazed from behind in a hauntingly pale shade of yellow.
