About The Artwork
The artist has keen interest in visiting and studying Historical Cultures. She has visited number of ancient temples, caves and spent hours visualising the creations of Indian sculptors and the cultures that existed thousands of years ago. She is mesmerised by the intricacy and detailing of the stone carvings. This has inspired her to create a series of paintings on Ancient Cave Art based on her own imagination of the figurines and deities and how they would appear in the form of stone sculptures.
