Women are blessed with a special ability of giving birth to new life. Menstrual cycle prepares women body for pregnancy. Thus it is a boon for women. In many parts of India, menstruation is still a cause of shame and menstruating women is disrespected. I painted this painting which shows a woman is menstruating and this is not a shame for her. She is bold, beautiful and colorful from inside. She is celebrating womanhood.
