Eddie is a cosmopolitan: he was born in Baghdad and grew up in Israel. As a young man he discovers Europe with its old culture and tradition but in constant development. He is inspired and moves to San Francisco and New York for several years where he works and searches for new experience. Eddie’s fascination with visual arts began in his early childhood. Growing up in war ridden Israel of the 1960’s painting became opening for his emotions and creativity. He followed his passion, gaining knowledge of drawing, painting and photography. His work is mostly figurative, though in various stages of his creative life he also experimented with abstract painting. His favorite medium is oil and mixed technics on canvas. He has been creating continuously from his youth, in a constant state of artistic investigation and evolution. For Eddie there is no greater joy than to hold his brush on a canvas.
