I studied art as a subject at secondary school, but ended up following a career in marketing research. While my career has occupied much of my time, I have continued to have a passion for art and pursued this interest with classes in oil painting and drawing under the tutelage of Ryno Swart. I also had the privilege of doing a course in caricature drawing with Derek Bauer, which had a profound influence on my style of drawing. My current focus is on oil painting and I am developing my style and approach by focusing on the subject of waves and water in motion.
