"Chale, Carnal! They're UFOs, Ese!" Print

This painting sold before the paint was dry. Too bad, I wanted to exhibit it. The idea for the work goes way back to 1980s. A high school friend who was a cholo. He was hard working, funny and a good person, a regular person. He talked about everything, including UFOs. So he broke the stereotypes given to the cholo culture by Hollywood and the media as criminals, evil and gangsters. He also played videogames, like Galaga and Space Invaders. Hence, the space invader iconography above the hills. The original oil painting is now owned by a famous radio producer in Los Angeles.
