ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The inspiration for this work is a search for COLOR. Chameleons are therefore an ideal subject. First I paint an underlying layer of Acrylic paint. Then a stippling technique is applied with Acrylic markers, resulting in an extremely bright image.These colors (Golden Acrylic and Molotov or Posca markers) are permanent. This quite unique style shows what stippling can achieve in the same way as the paintings of Seurat. The optical result is due to the dots fusing together. It is similar to certain aspects of street art.
