ABOUT THE ARTWORK
What does it take for a mother alone to bring up her cubs in a harsh wild world? I watched a film about wild life about a mother cheetah who was struggling bringing up her five cubs… days without eating and drinking... while she was trying to be present for her little ones she was also trying to gather energy and be ready for hunt… when... again and again... she was losing it. In one of those moments, while other cubs were innocently playing, camera captured the look of one of them... sad? ... or a moment when he was growing up too quickly? I thought about that cheetah cub when painting this.
