ABOUT THE ARTWORK

In the "More Than Recollecting" cycle, I have tried to bring to life memories of childhood and all the values that society has been referring to, which will prove to be naive or unrealistic by changing opportunities in the Balkans. Inspired by photographs, artist Danilo Bojic brings to life memories of childhood in small-format paintings named "More than Recollecting" and all the values that society has been referring to (friendship, communion, honor, respect for other people and peace), which will prove to be naive or unrealistic by growing up and changing opportunities in the Balkans. Achromatic scenes with children's figures playing with care or learning, as well as scenes with portraits of the authorities of that time (leader, cosmonaut, poet, actor ...) are suppressed by colored applications that have dynamic significance and / or red texts that address the issues of the author's personal and the artistic position at the present time, the positions of members of his generation and the general value system.
