If you take the time to entrer deep inside Childwall Woods in Liverpool, big boulders of an ancient wall will surprise you as you discover them. Those boulders mix so well with the foliage around - in such a beautiuful equilibrum - that I felt the need to make a painting out of it. I turned around those rock and trees many times, trying to sketch it in the best way possible, trying to find the best representation of the scene. It's only when I got home and looked back at my sketches, that I found the one that rendered the very feeling I felt strolling in Childwall Woods on this day.
