This is the third in the series on Beausoleil Island on Georgian Bay. A different mood is shown here on an overcast day with the broad sweep of the rocky shoreline. The granite rocks have unusual colours and patterns as the craggy pines cling to the edge of the shore. There is a deep silence here with only the gentle lapping of the crystal blue water.

"There are few more satisfying and emotive experiences than making marks on a piece of paper... The process of becoming an artist in the traditional sense is embracing the set of disciplines whereby one learns to give his marks greater tangible and universal meaning to a wider audience over a longer period of time"
