ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Here is my latest faith based paintingl. I call it "Christ the Redeemer". The allegory message is clear, Jesus died for our sins, so all who believe in him will have life eternal. The other message is Jesus overcomes evil and satan. I like the image of the snake wrapped around the earth, this signifies all the evil that exists on earth today. Jesus is stepping on the head of snake, while he holds down satan with his rod in hand. Christ's death as a sacrifice, as a substitutionary punishment for our sins, and as the payment that canceled the debt of sin. It unfolds how Christ's life, death, resurrection, and ascension were effective because, as God's only begotten Son, Jesus was humble and obedient to the Father in completing his redeeming work. Finally, the implications of the redemption are unveiled, as it gives the victory over death and new life in Christ. Original Oil, one of a kind painting. 11 X 14 comes framed on Canvas Board as shown.

My art is a reflection of things that inspire me, and bring joy to everyday life faith, nature, abstract, portraits. My style is Expressionism, Modern, and figurative. I enjoy painting wildlife, fish, underwater scenes, faith paintings, and angels. When I paint angels I get a sense of peace and serenity. The underwater scenes are inspired by 30 years of scuba. I also paint wildlife for I am out in the Colorado mountains quite often. My other works can be found at my website he mediums that I use are Oil, Watercolor, Encaustic, and Pen & Ink. The Mixed Media paintings incorporate things from nature such as petrified wood, lapis, sea shells and other stones. I retain all reproduction rights on images, artwork, and original paintings. You can find some of my paintings on display at the Brighton, Co. "Color of Love" art display at Brighton City Hall Sept -Jan.2020. The Littleton Fine Arts Museum Nov-Dec. 2019, 2020. Artist Statement: Those who speak in spiritual terms routinely refer to God as creator but seldom see ‘creator’ as the literal term for ‘artist’. I am suggesting you take the term ‘creator’ quite literally. You are seeking to forge a creative alliance, artist-to-artist, with the Great Creator God. Personal Statement: I believe we are all stewards of our planet; each individual should do whatever they can to preserve our wildlife, ocean, forests and air. Stand up for your beliefs, and focus on the positive things in life. Life is short, use your time wisely. Love, Laugh, make new friends, and enjoy Art!
