About The Artwork

I decided to paint this picture spontaneously while decorating my house for Christmas. I realized that I couldn't not paint it. In the center of the composition is a chichilaki - a Georgian symbol of Christmas made from a hazelnut stick. Chichilakis can be decorated with sweets, dried fruits, candies... In the painting, the chichilaki is glowing from the inside because it's illuminated by Christmas lights. To the right of the chichilaki in the painting, there's a Christmas candle burning, and there's a light shining from the decorative house. With different sources of light, I wanted to convey the maximum feeling of cozy and magical atmosphere of the evening before Christmas. And, of course, there's a bird-whistle, which in my paintings announces the change of seasons!)))

I have had a passion for beauty since childhood. I drew, sang, played music, and did embroidery. In my teenage years, I became interested in photography. Instagram accounts of artists and painting and drawing tutorials on YouTube drew my attention to this form of art. At first, I painted a simple picture that I needed for my interior, and then started painting pictures from my favorite photos that I had taken earlier. The first experience with photography was positive and was followed by others. That's how my journey as an artist began. It all started with photography... I grew up in a beautiful place in the center of Ukraine, where the incredible beauty of nature surrounded me all my childhood and youth. It wasn't enough for me to just look at this beauty. I wanted to "remember" these moments, to keep them in my memory forever, and at the age of 13, I became interested in photography. For many years, I just took pictures of blooming trees, flowers, and landscapes. I was very passionate about this process, and it's no wonder that at some point, I wanted to transfer my photos into the language of painting. I am currently very interested in this stage. As I mentioned earlier, I am from Ukraine. I have been living in Georgia for a long time and travel a lot around the country. I have collected a huge collection of photos from different corners of Georgia. The concentration of beautiful places in Georgia is very high. I think that it is precisely the life here that has influenced the creative side of my personality and inspired me to paint. I am an amateur artist and at the beginning of my creative path. I have no artistic education, and I have not yet exhibited anywhere except for my Instagram account @__stineli. If my work resonates with and is liked by people, it will greatly inspire me to continue creating and developing!
