Cindy - Listening to The Greatest from Sia Cindy's portrait is part of a series of paintings, that portraits the moment my models are listening to a Sia song on their headphones or earbuds. Basically, I asked my friends to record a short video on a mobile with their headphones on, while listening to their favorite Sia song. Of course you gotta like her music to really "feel it". Then once I have the video, I look for the expression that clicks me and the mission is to portrait THAT emotion. In this case her favorite Sia song is The Greatest, meaning no matter the obstacles, you are always showing the best of you to the World, and if you fall, you get up and continue enjoying life. She feels this song as: Growth, Fight and Resilience! If you are wondering —Yes! I'm a Sia super fan, and I appreciate her music and messages so much, to inspire me art.
