Being an observer first, much of my inspiration comes from the world around us. When traveling I find myself appreciating all that the new landscapes have to offer. Recently, my time has been spent exploring different traditions and cultures. From the vibrant colored powders thrown during India’s Ho...

Internationally recognized artist with solo museum exhibitions and USA corporate collections, Khrystyna Kozyuk builds dynamic abstract paintings through layered, diluted oil paint that pulse with movement and depth. Ukrainian-born artist Khrystyna Kozyuk creates vibrant, large-scale abstractions inspired by travel, nature, and the emotional memory of places. Currently living and working in Sedona, Arizona, Kozyuk is known for her bold use of color, fluid textures, and abstract forms that evoke natural landscapes and organic movement. Drawing from her diverse cultural experiences, her work reflects a belief that fully lived experience fuels artistic vision. Using a distinctive technique of layering diluted oil paints, she builds depth and motion on canvas, inviting viewers into an immersive visual and emotional experience. Born in Chortkiv, Ukraine, Kozyuk grew up surrounded by rivers, lakes, and mountains that left a lasting imprint on her creative language. Encouraged by her grandfather and mother, she began painting at an early age, even creating murals on her family’s kitchen walls. By age eleven, she was already selling her artwork to visiting tourists. A pivotal moment came when she won a top prize in an international children’s art competition, earning a visit to Wawel Royal Castle, where encountering the monumental paintings of Jan Matejko affirmed her path toward a life in art. At sixteen, Kozyuk moved to Lviv to pursue her Bachelor of Fine Arts, immersing herself in the city’s rich architectural and artistic heritage. After graduating, she relocated to the United States in 2005, starting from the ground up, learning English while supporting herself through night work, before transitioning to painting full time in 2012. Since then, Kozyuk has exhibited internationally, with a strong presence in Chicago and beyond. Her career includes solo museum exhibitions and participation in major art fairs such as the Paris Expo, New York Expo, Spectrum Miami, Luxembourg Art Fair, SOFA Chicago, and Santa Fe Art Expo. She was also selected for the inaugural International Artist Residency at Château d’Orquevaux in France, where she developed the visual language that defines her current body of work. With over 400 original paintings in collections worldwide, Kozyuk’s work continues to bring color, movement, and joy to collectors across the globe.
