ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Peaceful and calm, this citadel create a strange mood in my soul, when I have painted it - like something terrible and evil had happened here. So I decided to emphasize this idea by no using living beings (animals or people) in composition and stormy sky above. But no matter how sinister is everything around, the castle still stands! That do means something for me, really! The Hope never dies!

My name is Irina, I am a painter from Kyiv, capital of Ukraine. Art is what I do, and what I love. I believe we all start out as artists, and at some point, each of us has picked up a pencil or marker to connect with our creative side. I just decided to stick with it and have stayed committed to developing my style, which consists of a wide range of realism, symbolism, neo-impressionism and a little bit of both. My subject matter is also wide ranging, consisting of concept, wildlife and fantasy. My favorite genres are: portrait, landscape (especially mountains), animalistics, floristics, illustration. I am a M. A. of Fine Arts. While studying painting in Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, I understood soon that it become a part of my life and world vision. It was amazing change for me, because I always thought about myself as a graphic artist (pen and ink on paper). After the graduating in 2004 I keep painting until now. I keep painting to this day. Collectors in France and Ukraine have over 20 of my works. I am inspired by the beauty of Nature and the whole Universe and, most of all, by the Human beauty. I think, that animals are the wisdom of our planet. I believe in a world where everyone love and respect all living beings. So, I wish to bring all of that through my works to people!
