About The Artwork

This painting was created using a blend of techniques including brush and palette knife. I am constantly driven by my adventurous spirit and continually looking for new ways of expressing my dreams, ideals and emotions. Hopefully, for my viewers, a painting will open the eyes of the heart for them to experience a somewhat deeper connection to the world. If so, then I can feel I have accomplished my job. All paintings are packed very carefully in cardboard boxes with generous layers of bubble wrap to protect them. Every painting is signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Thank you for visiting my gallery! ©2020 Ewa Czarniecka. All rights reserved. Ewa's paintings have been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions including Annual Exhibition of Society of Women Artist,Mall Gallery London. She has been a professional artist since coming to London 2002 consider herself as self-taught. Ewa creates pieces that interpret and transform rather than imitate. Her work aims to evoke a visceral response to a subject, whether that subject is an abstraction, a figure, or the practice of painting itself. She often uses photographs she has taken herself as a foundation for her paintings. 'Hopefully, for my viewers, a painting will open the eyes of the heart for them to experience a somewhat deeper connection to the world. If so, then I can feel I have accomplished my job. The intuitive and skilful use of colour by any artist plays a large part in this. So, I really hope you enjoy these colours I have brought together in symphony for this show"My paintings are a visual representation of my deepest feelings - pleasure, fear, sorrow, happiness, humor. And, to people attuned to my compositions, they may well be mirrors of their own experiences. It is because of this that I have left the explanation of the paintings completely to the viewer, so that they are not bound by my interpretation of what each picture should be.I draw inspiration from the streets around me, I am attracted to the atmosphere of cities; the bright light, noise, the vitality. My paintings explore the way that light falls in a city ,how it casts shadows and reflections, how it pierces the darkness. I enjoy painting streets, markets, cafes-seeing how people behave, painting them in stillness or in frantic motion '.
