Colonial Gateways Series The radiant and commanding presence of a colonialism history perfectly sketched in with contrasting hues and wonderful detail in design. A twin doorway that stands against a light blue and amber wall that perfectly duplicates itself on either side in keeping to consistency with the twin effect of the door itself. 40374-LA-NMO

Nasser Mejía Moreno was born on October 27, 1982 in the city of Managua. He moved to the city of Granada when he was 6 years old, where from an early age he showed interest in drawing; He arrived in Nicaraguan art at the age of 18, where he began drawing courses at Casa de los Tres Mundos and CPC in the city of Granada, which did not continue until 2008 where he was welcomed as a student by Amy Bushnell and began to interact with artists such as: Ricardo Maya, Eduardo Arias, Alex Lluent, among others. Nasser's artistic proposal is: Expressionist, regionalist, manners and even impressionist, with a clear weakness for color and an experimental integration of textures. Among his favorite themes we have: markets, flowers, roosters, cars, wooden and zinc houses, and of course his best-known series as "Granada doors" worked with relief texture. In 2013 he began to develop and sell his own works and murals for different businesses, schools, hotels, among others. In 2014 he participated in his first collective exhibition and began to teach drawing classes "Our little brothers" and in 2017 he obtained the position of teacher of visual arts at the educational center "Granada International School" As of 2019, he participates in several collective art exhibitions such as: "Cre-Arte para recrearte" at the Nicaraguan Institute of Hispanic Culture, "Reinterpretando el Prado", "Artem Contempus" at Casa de los Tres Mundo, among others. In August 2019, he won the contest organized by the North American embassy called "North American Heritage" and was selected to participate in the "Substrate" contest with the theme "Environmental Awareness" promoted by the French Alliance in November of the same year.
