My work explores the tension between rural traditions and emerging urban identities, capturing the quiet transformation of everyday landscapes. I blend abstract structure with organic textures, evoking both resilience and erosion. A persistent thread of memory and belonging weaves through compositions that seem suspended zwischen — between — past and future, isolation and connection. Subtle color shifts and layered forms suggest histories hidden just beneath the surface, waiting to be rediscovered. I invite viewers to pause, reflect, and inhabit the emotional spaces that often go unseen. Nick Mueller’s art lives zwischen — between rooted memory and restless movement. Raised on a working farm in Oklahoma and shaped by a life across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, his work captures the quiet tension of places once held and newly found. Raw textures, shifting forms, and subtle erosion reveal stories written in land, time, and distance. Each piece stands between worlds — patient, resilient, waiting to be seen.
