Realistic/Surrealistic painting of The Commerce Court Building in Toronto, Canada. This painting depicts this beautiful Art Deco skyscraper as the dominant building it used to be in the 1920s. Not only the tallest building in Canada but also that of the commonwealth at the time, this building stood on a lonely hight, defining the skyline of Toronto for a long time.

I was born in 1980 in Utrecht, a city in the Netherlands. It is this city I grew up in and the cities and places I came across since that I let me inspire me in my work mostly. As I painter I choose to paint in 1 style only: realism or magic realism. For me as an autodidactic painter, it is the most interesting style to express myself in. architecture plays a very important role in my work and buildings and cities, often painted in a strongly exaggerated perspective, are a returning theme in my paintings.
