About The Artwork
What do you see? A totem? Structure? An insect? Or a robot? А coming train? One person? Two faces? Collision? All answers are correct and you are free to create your own interpretation. Like the work called Warrior, this is an expression of introspection and self-introduction. The first charcoal draft of this painting was created in 1997 in Japan and is called Split Personality. The initial goal was to construct an abstract human face composed of two antagonistic human profiles. Over the years the idea evolved and I drew several variants with different meanings and names.

Hi there! All my works, regardless of style, have one DNA – this is the sharp and simple world of signs (symbols, icons, totems). The ideas come spontaneously, but I painstakingly map the genealogy of my works and classify them into themes, cycles, clusters and groups. At the same time, I let concepts and images "travel" freely from one cycle to another. The themes of my cycles have titles such as City Icons (incl. Eyes of Surveillance, Road Marks, Warnings), Terra Nostalgica, “Human, all too Human”, Non-sense/Yes-sense, etc. I have participated in group exhibitions and workshops.
