About The Artwork
Confluence represents the blue flower dreamt in the most emotional dream and aimed to be saved eternally on painting. The name of the painting pulls the observer away from the real truth, which can only be spread among close friends of the artist. However, the first impression resembles the confluence of two rivers running upstream, mixed in embrace of passion. Confluence belongs to the Genesis collection of large paintings, made in 2017. The artist uses linen canvas and extra quality oil paints, applied with impasto (thick layers) technique. This provides specific texture, as the paint appears to be coming out of the canvas in third dimension, giving the painting more powerful look. Vivid colours, and light, but strong abstract motives, make her paintings enrich the inner space, creating joyful and contemporary architectural experience.
