ABOUT THE ARTWORK

polystyrene palettes stuck to the canvas surface The painting of Krzysztof Pajak attracts with captivating colors, unrestrained spontaneity, unlimited palette of colors. His theme is not only fantastic, futuristic cities, but also cosmic landscapes, coral reefs, ritual totems, people and animals during ceremonial games and dances. The artist looks deep into time and history. He is inspired by biblical and mythological stories, rock paintings of the original inhabitants of Europe, Africa, Australia and Oceania, the art of ancient Egypt and the present - the ordinary, everyday and the extraordinary, mysterious, difficult to interpret. It combines abstract forms with organic and geometric shapes, various threads and motifs. He creates fascinating sets of signs and symbols. For me, art is ordering the chaos of the world around us - the artist confesses. Under what is considered superficial decorativeness, I would like to reveal the other bottom - noble simplicity and harmony. At the next exhibition at the Warsaw House of Fine Arts Krzysztof Pająk will present paintings from the series "Coral Reefs", created in 2006-2013. With these joyful, fascinating canvases about the essence and sense of existence, the artist warns against situations hindering achieving goals and fulfilling dreams, against destroying the order and stagnation of structures. From the huge variety of shapes and colors, biological constructions and systems, the artist extracts what is most important and most important in understanding the mechanisms of life.
