Combining layers of pointillism, impressionism and abstraction, I look to capture the expression of fleeting light and tranquility of mind and space. Light, water and movement are my favorite subjects. ____________________________________ Kristen Pobatschnig is an artist who emphasizes light and movement in a whirlwind of fleeting dots and forms. As indicated in her paintings, she is fascinated by movement. She paints primarily in acrylic, in what she considers a kinetic-pointillist style. In addition to painting, she also creates kinetic sculptures and wall sculptures. She was recently featured in the ebook, “Kinetic Pointillism: An Emerging Movement”. Kristen has a growing number public art installations throughout the US. She has collaborated with numerous organizations including hospitals, public schools, interior designers, and individuals throughout her creative journey, and is inspired by many. In October 2023 she opened Colors in Space Studio & Gallery in Fryeburg, ME. She is a 2006 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College. She is a lifelong student of dance, and in her free time, she enjoys being with animals and in nature. For more information, please visit her website at:
